Shown below are a few of the children the Heart of Texas Sertoma Club, in partnership with Dr. Carrie Caviness at the Baylor Speech and Hearing Clinic, have been able to provide with hearing aids. We thank all of the sponsors of our Kite Festival and other fundraising activites for helping us to provide hearing aids and medical evaluations to children of central Texas. Since our Kite Festival this year we have been blessed with a donation from the Walmart Distribution Center. These fundraisers have allowed us to fit 15 new hearing aids to children in 2010 so far. Each fitting requires $500-1000 of our funds. The joy is truly ours as we see the eyes of the children light up and a smile appear as they hear the new sounds with their new hearing instruments.
