HEART OF TEXAS SERTOMA CLUB'S 2010 SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATION TO SAM EVANS Sam Evans (L), HOT Sertoma 2010 President - Pete Mofffatt (R) The Heart of Texas Sertoma Club was proud to present a $500 scholarship to Sam Evans, a Midway High School graduate. He will be attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall. HEARING AID RECIPIENTS Shown below are a few of the children Sertoma has provided with hearing aids through the S.H.A.R.P. hearing aid recycling program in cooperation with Dr. Carrie Caviness at the Baylor University Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic. Every year we find new children to give the gift of hearing to. What a blessing it is to see theirfaces light up when they put on their new hearing aids. In 2010, as of June, we have provided funding for 12 new hearing aids to children in McLennan County. These children have been blessed with the gift of hearing because of our Kite Festival sponsors and other contributors. This year the Heart of Texas Sertoma Club was presented with a wonderful contribution from the Walmart Distribution Center. Each fitting costs between $500-1000 in funding.
