The word Sertoma means "SERvice TO MAnkind". Each club can choose to provide funding for help in many areas. Our club, the Heart of Texas Sertoma Club, has concentrated on helping hard of hearing children in McLennan County by providing hearing aids for them through the Sertoma Hearing Aid Recycling Program (SHARP). We work in partnership with Carrie Caviness at the Baylor University Speech and Hearing Clinic and Dr. Andrew Lehr of Waco Otolaryngology Associates.  The Heart of Texas Sertoma Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity.

The Heart of Texas Sertoma Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month at Ryan's Steak House.  Our major fundraising event each year is the Kite Festival, which is free to the public.
